About the Registry

The Recurring Room Pattern Registry is a small, focused effort to document a specific dream pattern: repeated exposure to a single interior space whose physical details change from night to night, while a particular name persists upon waking recall.

Who maintains this registry?

The registry is maintained by a small working group informally referred to as the Group for Research on Episodic Dream Spaces (GREDS). Its membership includes clinicians and researchers with interests in parasomnias, recurrent dreams, and atypical naming phenomena.

What is being studied?

Our focus is the Recurring Room pattern:

Why is this public-facing?

The pattern appears sporadically, across geography and time. A public intake channel allows individuals who recognize the description to submit their experiences without referral, and permits comparison across unrelated cases that would otherwise remain isolated.

The registry is descriptive only. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or emergency response.
