Ethics & Safeguards

The Recurring Room Pattern Registry is descriptive and exploratory. It is not a replacement for clinical care. The ethical priority is to minimize risk to participants while allowing patterns to be documented in a structured way.

Scope and Limits

• No diagnosis or treatment decisions are made based on registry entries.
• Submissions are voluntary and may be withdrawn by participant request.
• Contact information is used only for clarification or follow-up when necessary.

Handling of Sensitive Content

• Accounts containing acute risk language (self-harm, violence) are not displayed in public-facing summaries.
• Highly identifying personal details may be redacted during internal coding.
• Where appropriate, participants may be encouraged to seek local, in-person support.

Data Stewardship

Registry materials are stored with the aim of preserving anonymity and limiting redisclosure. Aggregated counts and high-level metrics are preferred over detailed case vignettes at the public layer.
